We are a group of five board certified Family Practitioners providing quality health care to the families in the areas of general internal medicine, pediatrics, office gynecology, office surgery, and preventive medicine, in the office and in the hospital.
What is Family Practice?
Family Practice is a recognized medical specialty with board cetification by the American Board of Family Practice. Requirements for the certification includes three years of residency in the areas of Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, Obstetrics-Gynecology, general and sub-specialty surgery, and Psychiatry, with proficiency demonstrated by completion of board certification. Family Physicians must complete 150 hours of continuing medical education every three years and pass written re-examination boards every six years to maintain certification.
The goal of Family Practice, and of Gainesville Family Physicians, is to provide comprehensive, continual, high quality, cost-effective medical care.
